About the position

The Configuration Management Specialist I role at Precise Systems involves providing technical services in support of submarine Electromagnetic Systems Programs at the Naval Undersea Warfare Center in Newport, RI. The position focuses on utilizing various workflow tools to manage and report on the baseline characteristics of submarine systems, ensuring effective configuration management and documentation throughout the program lifecycle.

Responsibilities

• Provide Configuration Management technical services for submarine Electromagnetic Systems Programs.
• Utilize workflow tools such as iPDM and CDMD-OA to identify and report baseline characteristics.
• Track, document, and report the status of Engineering Change Documentation (ECD).
• Perform Configuration Status Accounting (CSA) using various Logistics/Configuration Management Systems.
• Assist in conducting physical and functional configuration audits and provide technical finding reports.
• Update CSA changes in the CIDMS database.
• Gather, process, analyze, and enter systems engineering and modernization data into databases.
• Review Engineering Change Drawings for inconsistencies and recommend changes.
• Communicate effectively with peers and customers at all technical levels.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in a relevant field.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in Configuration Management or related area.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a Secret security clearance.
• U.S. Citizenship is required.
