About the position

Modern Technology Solutions, Inc. (MTSI) is seeking a Configuration Manager to support critical programs at Wright-Patterson AFB, Ohio. This role involves overseeing configuration management processes, ensuring effective communication with internal and external customers, and providing guidance on documentation and audits. The position emphasizes employee ownership and offers a supportive work environment with a focus on national defense and security.

Responsibilities

• Communicate effectively, both orally and in writing.
• Plan and manage configuration management (CM) activities including identification, change control, status accounting, and audits.
• Analyze CM issues in collaboration with internal and external customers.
• Support audits and corrective actions related to CM processes.
• Provide advice and guidance on documentation methods, procedures, and requirements.
• Review metrics and perform audits to ensure CM processes are efficient and effective.
• Coordinate and monitor deep dive and root cause analysis to identify process improvement opportunities.

Requirements

• At least 12-18+ years of configuration management experience.
• Understanding of principles of EIA-649.
• Associate's degree or CM certification.
• Working knowledge of CMMi.
• Experience with SharePoint, JIRA, and Microsoft Office.
• US Citizenship required.
• Top Secret Clearance required.
