About the position

The position at Blue Origin involves contributing to the design and documentation of spacecraft systems, specifically for crewed lunar lander architectures. The role requires collaboration with various engineering teams to ensure safe and repeatable space flight, focusing on vehicle and inter-element interfaces and designs. The successful candidate will engage in all program phases, from conceptual design to post-flight, and will utilize CAD tools for design development and lifecycle management.

Responsibilities

• Contribute to and support technical spacecraft design documentation for various spaceflight systems.
• Provide vehicle and inter-element interfaces and designs on various configurations.
• Create CAD models, system layouts, and interface controls for design development.
• Implement and enforce top-down design principles and maintain the CAD product structure.
• Collaborate with engineering teams using Creo Parametric and Windchill for product lifecycle management.
• Support program trade studies, concept development, interface management, procurement, assembly, integration, testing, and operations.
• Drive configuration maturity towards designing for maintainability, sustainability, manufacturing, and operations.

Requirements

• Technical expertise in spacecraft design and engineering principles.
• Experience with CAD software, specifically Creo Parametric.
• Knowledge of product lifecycle management tools, such as Windchill.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and communicate effectively with various engineering disciplines.
• Commitment to safety and quality in human spaceflight.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience working with NASA or in aerospace projects.
• Familiarity with ITAR regulations and compliance.
• Background in systems engineering or configuration management.
