About the position

The Connectivity Operations Leader will oversee and optimize the integration and connectivity of medical devices within healthcare networks. This role is pivotal in ensuring seamless device functionality, data security, and compliance with industry standards. The ideal candidate will bring technical expertise, leadership skills, strong communication skills, and a strong commitment to operational excellence.

Responsibilities

  • Lead efforts to connect and configure medical devices within diverse IT ecosystems.
  • Ensure compliance with cybersecurity protocols and medical device regulations (e.g., HIPAA, FDA).
  • Develop and maintain workflows for efficient troubleshooting and resolution of connectivity issues.
  • Monitor performance metrics and report on connectivity uptime and device integration success rates.
  • Track all cradlepoints and additional hardware that is deployed or returned.
  • Perform daily sweeps of connected devices to ensure connectivity is sustained and reconnect anything that may be offline in coordination with customer IT.
  • Collaborate with clients to understand their connectivity needs and deliver tailored solutions.
  • Serve as the point of contact for escalations related to device integration.
  • Partner with device manufacturers, IT departments, and service providers to ensure interoperability.
  • Maintain detailed records of configurations, protocols, and incident reports.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Biomedical Engineering, Information Technology, Networking, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years experience in medical device connectivity or IT networking.
  • Strong understanding of HL7 standards, DICOM, and medical IT systems.
  • Proven experience in team leadership and project management.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.

Nice-to-haves

  • Certifications in relevant areas (e.g., Palo Alto, CCNA, CCNP, CCIE, AWS Advanced Networking, AWS Solutions Architect, AWS Security or similar).
  • Familiarity with medical device servicing and lifecycle management.
  • Experience with cloud-based healthcare solutions and IoT integrations.
