About the position

The Connectivity RF Hardware Design Engineer at Apple is a key member of the Hardware Engineering team, responsible for designing and integrating next-generation wireless radio solutions across various product categories, including iPhone, iPad, and AirPods. This role involves investigating RF front-end architectures, leading design efforts, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure high-quality wireless connectivity in Apple products.

Responsibilities

• Investigate various RF front end architectures to meet product requirements.
• Lead the architecture and design for wireless solutions in Apple products.
• Conduct front-end architecture, component specification, line-up analysis, and modeling.
• Implement design and perform failure analysis.
• Own technology from concept through product introduction.
• Collaborate proactively with cross-functional engineering groups such as antenna design, industrial design, and software engineering.

Requirements

• B.S. in Electrical Engineering or related field; Master's or PhD preferred.
• 10+ years of relevant industry experience.
• Experience leading projects from definition stage to mass production.
• Expertise in one or more connectivity wireless systems like WiFi, Bluetooth, UWB, or NFC.
• Experience with RF components and circuits design and integration into consumer products.
• Familiarity with RF simulation tools such as HFSS, ADS, Matlab, or SystemVue.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills.
• Successful track record of delivering innovative and high-quality communications products.
• Ability to be flexible in a changing work environment.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience in architectural discussions with cross-functional leaders related to power supply and digital design for connectivity solutions.
