About the position

This position at Bank of America is focused on performing complex analysis and modeling to minimize loss exposure and enhance customer experience. The role involves utilizing various analytical tools and systems to support strategies, assess fraud risk, and propose policy changes, particularly within the Deposits product team. The individual will engage with multiple business lines and maintain subject matter expertise to ensure compliance and optimal results in data management and reporting.

Responsibilities

  • Recommends ways to help the business achieve desired outcomes and make informed business decisions using data analysis outputs.
  • Performs complex analysis of financial models, market data, financial data, and portfolio trends to understand product performance and improve portfolio risk, profitability, performance forecasting, and operational performance.
  • Leads coordination of the production of product performance reports and updates for senior management.
  • Develops efficient queries using SAS/SQL query language in accordance with criteria and regularly presents work to key stakeholders.
  • Compiles, analyzes, and interprets data to make strategic and tactical recommendations.
  • Supports adhoc programs and may be responsible for recurring execution programs and occasional remediation engagement.
  • Takes ownership of individual programs end-to-end.

Requirements

  • Proficiency with SAS/SQL (e.g., SAS Grid, SQL, DB2, Teradata) and database management.
  • Proven leadership and strong problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to analyze data and influence cross-functional teams and/or senior management.
  • Control background and process-oriented experience.
  • Ability to work efficiently both in a team environment and independently.
  • Detail-oriented and drives priority across multiple initiatives.
  • Excel experience.

Nice-to-haves

  • Related experience, preferably in product or digitally related functions.
  • Process design and/or project management experience.
  • Deposits, Credit Card, SB Card, Call Center, Financial Center and/or Digital channel knowledge.
  • Bachelor degree in Finance or Business.
