About the position

HCA Healthcare is seeking a Consulting Product Analyst to join our team, where diversity and inclusion are at the forefront of our work environment. This role is pivotal in ensuring that we continue to provide high-quality, efficient care to all patients. As a Consulting Product Analyst, you will be involved in creating and launching innovative new products across various healthcare business lines within HCA. This position requires a strong balance of creativity, strategy, technology, and an understanding of human behavior. You will work collaboratively in a POD structure environment alongside UI/UX designers, senior architects, and subject matter experts from both business and product teams, as well as IT project managers. In this role, you will support all matters related to portfolio-based new products, development, and functionality for enterprise applications. You will be responsible for creating, maintaining, and updating product and development information, acting as an internal and external expert supported by development teams. Your expertise will be crucial in identifying, documenting, and evaluating business needs and development efforts. You will also assist in designing and documenting product requirements and user stories, ensuring effective communication with executive audiences. The Consulting Product Analyst will lead user review groups, coordinate release efforts, and represent business owners' interests within ITG and other HCA Healthcare groups. You will mentor and train others on the use and application of tools and core techniques, leveraging a robust network of relationships across multiple business areas. Understanding the product development life cycle and change management processes will be essential as you effectively solve challenging and complex problems while leading multiple initiatives simultaneously.

Responsibilities

  • Supports the efforts in all matters related to portfolio-based new products, development and functionality for enterprise applications
  • Create, maintain and update product and development information and act as an expert internally and externally supported by development
  • Assist in identification, documentation and evaluation of business needs and development efforts
  • Provide hands-on expertise to independently resolve service delivery and product functionality issues
  • Assist with designing and documenting product requirements and user stories
  • Communicate effectively to Executive audiences
  • Work independently and collaboratively with other POD and RASCI matrix team members to maintain and enhance initiative documentation
  • Partner with business owners to identify and solution defined problem statements and business objectives
  • Mentors and trains others on the use and application of the tools and core techniques
  • Leverages a robust network of relationships across multiple business areas
  • Understand product development life cycle and change management processes
  • Effectively sees and understands the role of a business area in the greater company context
  • Effectively solve challenging and complex problems
  • Lead User Review Groups
  • Lead release coordination and efforts
  • Represent business owners' interests within ITG and other HCA Healthcare groups
  • Lead product development activities including the creation of deliverables for product development lifecycle and implementation
  • Work with stakeholders and POD partners to ensure timely completion of deliverables
  • Lead cross-functional teams to execute initiative defined engagement plans/deliverables including making strategic decisions and prioritization efforts
  • Lead multiple initiatives simultaneously

Requirements

  • 8+ years of experience as an analyst and/or related position
  • Expert facilitation skills
  • Experience creating business requirements documents and scrum management
  • Strong documentation skills and organization skills
  • Ability to interact with team members cross-functionally
  • Excellent communication skills to interface with various stakeholders from business consumer to technical staff
  • Self-driven learner of technology and processes
  • Ability to multi-task, given various assignments/projects
  • Creates deliverables independently and manages approvals
  • Expert with defining initiative analysis approaches
  • Experience with leveraging a UI/UX skill set within the team construct
