About the position

We are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Accountant to join our finance team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing financial records, ensuring compliance with accounting standards, and providing insights into financial performance. This role requires proficiency in various financial software and a strong understanding of general ledger accounting. The Accountant will play a crucial role in supporting financial management and reporting activities.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and manage the general ledger, ensuring accuracy and compliance with accounting principles.
• Perform general ledger reconciliation to ensure all accounts are balanced and discrepancies are resolved promptly.
• Prepare financial statements and reports, providing insights into financial performance and forecasts.
• Utilize financial software such as QuiciBooks and Smartsheets for efficient bookkeeping and reporting.
• Assist with payroll processing, ensuring timely and accurate payments to employees.
• Support construction estimating.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to provide financial guidance and support decision-making processes.
• Conduct regular audits of financial data to ensure integrity and compliance with regulations.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is preferred.
• Proven experience in general contractor accounting and reconciliation processes.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail, ensuring accuracy in all tasks performed.
• Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team environment.
