Armand Corporation, an award-winning M/WBE Construction Management firm with over 33 years of experience in the industry, is seeking a full-time Construction Accounting Analyst for a federal construction project focused on complex rail, transit, and other transportation projects in New York and New Jersey. This hybrid position requires candidates to live in or near the New York metropolitan area. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 5 years of full-time accounting experience related to construction, along with a Bachelor's Degree in accounting, finance, or a related field from an accredited institution. The role involves managing the entire full-cycle accounting process, which includes contract administration, cash management, job cost accounting, and the preparation of financial statements. In this position, the Construction Accounting Analyst will assist with government contract administration by reviewing and analyzing contract terms and conditions, tracking contract modifications and change orders, and ensuring compliance with contract billing and revenue recognition requirements. The analyst will also be responsible for creating and reviewing invoices, ensuring proper GL account selection, and resolving accounting issues with vendors, clients, and subcontractors. Additionally, the role requires accurate reconciliation of cash transactions and effective cash flow management for construction projects. The analyst will maintain fiscal files and records to document transactions for annual audits and ensure that payments for reimbursable operational expenses are properly coded to matching revenue accounts. The position also involves preparing invoices for submission to clients and supporting project management and contracts teams to ensure deliverables are met. The ideal candidate should possess strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to handle confidential information with discretion. They must be adaptable to various competing demands and demonstrate a high level of customer/client service and response. Fluency in English, both written and spoken, is required, and candidates must be authorized to work in the United States.
