About the position

Southern California Grading, Inc. is seeking a highly self-motivated Accounts Payable Specialist/Payroll Assistant with experience in the construction industry. This full-time, non-exempt position involves entering and auditing accounts payable invoices, assisting in payroll, and performing related accounting and administrative tasks. The role requires attention to detail and the ability to prioritize work effectively to meet deadlines while providing excellent service to clients, vendors, and company staff.

Responsibilities

  • Receives, audits, and processes Accounts Payable invoices ensuring compliance with company policies and industry regulations.
  • Serves as the primary contact for vendor billing inquiries, providing clear and professional responses.
  • Reconciles vendor statements and resolves any issues in a timely and professional manner.
  • Demonstrates attention to detail and effectively prioritizes work to meet established deadlines.
  • Provides excellent service to clients, vendors, and company staff in a courteous and efficient manner.
  • Assists in the weekly payroll process.
  • Utilizes notary license to aid in the preparation of contract, billing, and bidding documents as needed.

Requirements

  • 1-2 years minimum experience working in a construction accounts payable environment.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.
  • Experience with Foundation Construction Software and/or B2W Track is a plus.
  • Notary license necessary.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience in dispatching is preferred.
