About the position

The Construction Assembly Team Member at Power Solutions International (PSI) is responsible for assembling or installing various engine components and mechanical assemblies in accordance with engineering drawings and quality standards. This role emphasizes the importance of quality workmanship while meeting production schedules and quantity goals. Team Members will work under the guidance of the Group Lead and Team Lead, contributing to the manufacturing goals of the organization.

Responsibilities

• Assemble or install various engine components, mechanical assemblies or subassemblies using hand tools and electronic tooling according to blueprints and standardized work instructions.
• Verify product quality based on work instructions and quality checklists, reporting any defective materials or questionable conditions.
• Examine parts using digital and vernier scale micrometers to measure critical dimensions and detect deficiencies.
• Lift and/or carry up to 40 pounds of materials to assist in production, and learn team lifts for items over 40 pounds.
• Adhere to all safety procedures, including the use of personal protective equipment and proper waste disposal.
• Perform all other duties as assigned by management.

Requirements

• High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent experience.
• Ability to apply math (fractions, ratios, measurements) and read, comprehend, and convert instruction manuals/diagrams into work.
• Mechanical aptitude or experience in automotive assembly and/or other high-volume manufacturing environments.

Nice-to-haves

• Ability to obtain Lift Truck, Crane, or other designated equipment certification through PSI on-site Training Programs.
• Experience using micrometers, calipers, and hand tools.
• Prior experience in Electrical, Plumbing, Fabrication, Machining, or Automotive fields.
• Knowledge of Lean manufacturing and/or ISO9001 methodologies.
• Bilingual in Spanish and English.
