About the position

The Construction Coordinator/Designer I is an entry-level position focused on utilizing Building Information Modeling (BIM) tools, such as CAD and Revit, to convert contract documents into 3D constructible files for fabrication and field installation. This role offers opportunities for career growth and development in BIM, allowing the individual to learn essential skills in modeling software, preparation of deliverables, and participation in coordination meetings and job site visits.

Responsibilities

• Develop an understanding of trade systems.
• Learn to produce various Field and Fabrication installation drawings and documentation by properly annotating and dimensioning.
• Assist with producing various deliverables.
• Provide support to all coordination team members as needed.
• Assist with generating and completing as-builts.
• Learn to detail coordinated models such as Hanger and Support placement.
• Learn to create 3D equipment models.
• Enhance upon BIM skillset.
• Support Field Personnel with delivery of installation drawings.
• Learn to navigate a project site.

Requirements

• 0+ years of experience
• Associate degree or equivalent
• Knowledge of Revit, CADMEP, Navisworks, & Microsoft Suite
• Trade specific experience in HVAC
• Intro to HVAC systems & codes
• Intro to Plumbing systems & codes (Plumbing State Code 248CMR NFPA 54, NFPA 58, NFPA 99, Sovent Code)
