About the position

The Director of Operations is a key leadership role responsible for overseeing the daily operations of The Trusted Handyman LLC. This position requires a strategic thinker with a strong background in operations management, project management, and process improvement. The Director will collaborate with senior leadership to develop and implement operational strategies that drive efficiency, enhance productivity, and support business development initiatives. The ideal candidate will possess exceptional negotiation skills and a proven ability to lead teams towards achieving organizational goals.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement operational strategies that align with the company's overall business objectives.
  • Oversee daily operations to ensure efficiency and effectiveness across all departments.
  • Lead cross-functional teams in project management initiatives, ensuring timely completion of projects within scope and budget.
  • Identify opportunities for process improvement and implement best practices to enhance operational performance.
  • Manage relationships with key stakeholders, including vendors, clients, and internal teams, to foster collaboration and drive results.

  • Provide leadership and mentorship to department heads, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and professional development.

Requirements

  • Proven experience in senior leadership roles within operations management or related fields.
  • Strong project management skills with a track record of successfully leading complex projects from inception to completion.
  • Demonstrated expertise in process improvement methodologies (e.g., Lean, Six Sigma).
  • Excellent negotiation skills with the ability to influence stakeholders at all levels.
  • Exceptional leadership abilities with experience managing diverse teams.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to make data-driven decisions.
  • Experience in strategic planning and business development initiatives is highly desirable.
  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Operations Management, or a related field; advanced degree preferred.
  • Construction or a home services background is highly recommended.
