About the position
The Construction Equipment Product Manager at Takeuchi Mfg U.S. Ltd is responsible for managing the product life cycle of assigned equipment lines, including market analysis, pricing strategies, and product training. This role involves gathering customer feedback, identifying market opportunities, and collaborating with various departments to ensure product success. The position also requires effective communication with international teams and participation in trade shows and training events.
Responsibilities
- Manage the product life cycle of assigned product lines.
- Support field staff with market intelligence and pricing strategies.
- Gather customer feedback to identify market opportunities.
- Provide product training at sales training events and trade shows.
- Develop and maintain product line marketing and new product development plans.
- Coordinate with sales, marketing, service, and engineering departments for new model introductions.
- Create training materials and maintain a demonstration process.
- Assist in developing competitive pricing evaluations for key models.
- Deliver consistent training messages across all product lines.
- Develop product bulletins and support materials for brand promotion.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in product management.
- Minimum of 5 years of product management experience at the OEM or large fleet user level.
- Exceptional knowledge of diesel engines, hydraulic, and electrical systems.
- Strong proficiency in computers and basic understanding of Microsoft operating systems.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to develop systematic training programs with clear goals and objectives.
- Self-starter and goal-oriented with minimal supervision required.
