About the position

The Construction Estimator-Scheduler at Whitman, Requardt & Associates, LLP is responsible for managing construction scheduling and cost estimating for various infrastructure projects. This role requires extensive experience in construction management, particularly in scheduling and estimating for large-scale projects, and involves using industry-standard software to ensure project efficiency and cost-effectiveness.

Responsibilities

• Manage CPM construction scheduling and cost estimating for infrastructure projects.
• Utilize Primavera P6 for construction scheduling and project controls.
• Review construction project plans and specifications for pricing and quantities.
• Conduct bid analysis and provide pricing justifications.
• Develop preliminary and detailed construction schedules during various project phases.
• Prepare technical proposals, reports, and client communications.
• Perform forensic schedule analysis and time impact analysis for claims support.
• Update and maintain project schedules and provide narrative reports.

Requirements

• Minimum fifteen (15) years of construction management or general contracting experience.
• Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering.
• Registered Professional Engineer (PE) in Texas and/or certified Construction Manager (CCM).
• Experience with Primavera P6 and other construction management software.
• Excellent communication and technical writing skills.

Nice-to-haves

• Certification as a Planning and Scheduling Professional (PSP).
• Experience with DOT construction software such as TXDOT Inspection and Materials Management System (I2MS).
• Ability to deliver oral presentations related to scheduling and cost estimating.
