About the position
The Construction Estimator position at ServiceMaster DSI is a full-time, in-office role responsible for reviewing and creating construction estimates using software such as Xactimate and Symbility. This role involves providing feedback and recommendations to align estimates with company goals, and there is potential for advancement into a management position. The estimator will collaborate with the V.P. of construction to develop standard operating procedures and streamline estimating processes. Responsibilities
- Review job site information from photos and notes provided by field personnel.
- Estimate projects using estimating software such as Xactimate and Symbility.
- Provide training and feedback to other estimators.
- Understand and provide feedback on monthly adjustments made to estimating software.
- Submit complete estimates for approval within required timeframes.
- Produce supplements and change orders as needed.
- Communicate effectively with internal teams, project managers, and insurance adjusters.
Requirements
- Expertise in construction estimating using Xactimate and Symbility.
- Minimum of 5 years of construction estimating experience, with 10+ years preferred.
- Ability to produce estimates that deliver excellent profit margins.
- Previous experience working with Third Party Administrators (TPAs) is required.
- Ability to handle high volume and execute estimates quickly under tight deadlines.
- Experience with 3D scanning software such as Matterport is highly desirable.
