About the position
The Construction Estimator at Design Hire, LLC is responsible for providing accurate and comprehensive cost estimates for various construction projects. This role involves collaboration with project managers, engineers, and contractors to ensure that budgets are maintained while delivering high-quality results. The estimator will analyze project plans and specifications, conduct site visits, and present estimates to stakeholders, adjusting as necessary based on project changes.
Responsibilities
- Prepare detailed cost estimates for materials, labor, equipment, and subcontractor services.
- Analyze project plans, specifications, and requirements to identify necessary resources.
- Collaborate with project teams to ensure accurate budgeting and financial tracking.
- Conduct site visits and gather necessary information for estimating purposes.
- Present estimates to stakeholders and adjust as needed based on project changes or scope adjustments.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field.
- 3+ years of experience in construction estimating for commercial, residential, or industrial projects.
- Proficiency in estimating software (e.g., Bluebeam, Procore, or similar tools).
- Strong understanding of construction methods, materials, and industry regulations.
- Excellent communication and analytical skills to deliver precise estimates and reports.
Nice-to-haves
- Associate degree in a related field (Preferred)
- 2 years of experience in construction estimating (Preferred)
- 2 years of experience in procurement management (Preferred)
