About the position
The Construction Estimator at Titan Restoration is responsible for preparing accurate cost estimates for construction projects, ensuring that all bid documents are complete and compliant with project specifications. This role involves attending pre-bid meetings, reviewing bid requirements, and managing projects from bid to completion while maintaining strong client relationships.
Responsibilities
- Attend pre-bid meetings and perform take-offs to gather information for bid documents.
- Review bid requirements thoroughly and ask follow-up questions on every bid.
- Read drawings, plans, and specifications for bid details.
- Understand the scope for specific trades assigned.
- Develop RFIs and clarifications as needed.
- Prepare estimates, bid forms, and cost proposals outlining scope of work and costs.
- Follow up on submitted bids and budgets with architects and property owners to close business.
- Perform site visits to review deficiencies and maintenance items on building envelopes.
- Conduct façade inspections and leak investigations, preparing comprehensive photo reports with repair recommendations and cost proposals.
- Manage projects from start to completion, ensuring client satisfaction and timely delivery.
- Communicate professionally with clients to schedule site visits and follow up on sales.
- Attend marketing events to gain new clients and develop customer relations.
Requirements
- Strong proficiency in construction estimating, cost control, and pricing.
- Experience in utilizing Bluebeam software for estimating purposes.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office.
- Familiarity with construction site operations and management.
- Ability to negotiate contracts effectively.
- Knowledge of project management principles in the construction industry.
