This role is crucial for a federal construction project that involves complex rail, transit, and other transportation projects in New York and New Jersey. The ideal candidate will possess 3 to 5 years of full-time accounting experience specifically within the construction or engineering sectors, complemented by a Bachelor's Degree in accounting, finance, or a related field from an accredited institution. This position is full-time and requires on-site presence, with candidates expected to reside in or near the New York metropolitan area. The Construction Financial/Compliance Analyst will play a pivotal role in preparing and distributing monthly financial reporting packages, ensuring that the reports provide critical insights and strategic focus. A key responsibility will be to ensure that all financial information complies with federal reimbursement rules. The candidate should have a solid understanding of Federal-State Partnership grant experience, particularly in relation to large non-profit accounting and federal grants. Additionally, the analyst will be responsible for preparing ad hoc reports as requested and will work closely with finance managers and department members to enhance teamwork and client service. The role also involves maintaining fiscal files and records to document transactions for annual audits, ensuring that payments for reimbursable operational expenses are accurately coded to corresponding revenue accounts, and preparing invoices for submission to clients. The analyst will support project management and contracts teams to ensure that all deliverables are met and will perform additional duties as necessary to support the finance department's objectives.
