Responsibilities

• Coordinates and performs construction inspections verifying compliance with contracts and specifications.
• Inspects routine construction items such as asphalt and concrete paving, small bridges, and utility adjustments.
• Prepares final plans, change orders, contractor payment estimates, and engineering costs through measurements and computations.
• Maintains construction documentation, records, and files; prepares progress reports and keeps supervisors informed of job conditions.
• Provides field checks for contractor surveying operations and serves as party chief on routine layout and staking.
• Performs lead worker responsibilities, including assigning work, coaching, and providing input on staffing decisions.

Requirements

• Must be enrolled in a relevant bachelor's or post-bachelor's degree program, preferably ABET-accredited for engineering candidates.
• Must maintain an overall GPA of 2.0 or higher out of 4.0.
• Must have completed at least 30 credit hours.
