About the position

The Construction Inventory Manager at Levco Management LLC is a full-time position responsible for overseeing the inventory management process for construction materials across a portfolio of properties throughout Virginia. This role is crucial in ensuring that all construction inventory items are properly ordered, received, identified, and checked for accuracy and quantities. The Inventory Manager will also be responsible for the storage, distribution, and accessibility of these materials in accordance with the renovation inventory cycle. The position requires a thorough understanding of inventory policies and procedures, as well as excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with management personnel, subcontractors, and suppliers. The Inventory Manager will execute daily inventory analysis, identify and resolve discrepancies, and record daily deliveries and shipments to reconcile inventory. This includes receiving, checking in, and verifying all delivered construction materials, as well as participating in unit surveys and inspections to determine necessary renovation materials. The role also involves monitoring and coordinating trash and dumpster disposals, ensuring that milestones and goals are met, and adhering to the approved budget. Additionally, the Inventory Manager will evaluate suppliers to achieve cost-effective deals while maintaining trust relationships. Security of materials is of utmost priority, and the manager will ensure that containers are closed and locked each day. Other duties may be assigned by the supervisor as needed.

Responsibilities

  • Executes daily inventory analysis; identifies and resolves discrepancies and problems.
  • Records daily deliveries and shipments to reconcile inventory.
  • Receives, checks-in, and verifies all delivered construction materials.
  • Participates in unit surveys and inspections to determine necessary renovation materials.
  • Monitors, coordinates, and calls-in all trash/dumpster disposals.
  • Communicates with management personnel, subcontractors, and suppliers regarding new items, changes of location, counts, etc.
  • Ensures milestones and goals are met.
  • Ensures adherence to approved budget.
  • Evaluates suppliers to achieve cost-effective deals and maintain trust relationships.
  • Performs and assists with general maintenance and cleanup of storage yard, containers, dumpsters, etc.
  • Ensures the security of materials are of the utmost priority and containers are closed and locked each day.
  • Performs any other duties as assigned by their supervisor.

Requirements

  • At least three years of experience in a related area required.
  • At least one year of renovation experience preferred.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and attention to detail.
  • Thorough understanding of inventory policies and procedures.
  • Strong computer skills (Excel and Outlook).
  • Valid driver's license (required), as well as reliable daily transportation.
