About The Position

The Construction Laborer position involves performing physical labor at various construction sites, including building, highway, and heavy construction projects. The role requires operating hand and power tools, preparing construction sites, and assisting other craft workers. Laborers will be responsible for tasks such as loading and unloading materials, operating equipment, and maintaining a clean work environment.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or G.E.D. is required.
• Minimum 6 months experience in construction/site development is preferred.
• Mathematical abilities for basic measurements and calculations.
• Fluency in English (read, write, and speak).
• Reasoning ability and logic skills.
• Alertness and awareness of surroundings.
• Manual dexterity, eye-hand coordination, good physical fitness, and a good sense of balance.

Nice To Haves

• Experience with heavy machinery operation.
• Knowledge of safety regulations in construction.

Responsibilities

• Clean and prepare construction sites.
• Load, unload, identify, and distribute building materials according to project plans and specifications.
• Operate a variety of equipment, including pavement breakers, jackhammers, and concrete mixers.
• Lift and move materials, shovel, and rake as needed.
