About the position

We are seeking an Industrial Engineer with Construction Management experience to join our team for a significant project in Houston, Texas. This role is focused on the construction management of a Medical Products Finished Goods Warehouse, which will serve as a Regional Distribution Center for Renal solution products. The project is expected to last for 12 to 18 months, with the buildout anticipated to begin in September 2024 and conclude by March 2025. The selected candidate will be required to be present full-time at the job site during the construction phase. The Industrial Engineer will be responsible for a variety of tasks that are critical to the successful execution of the project. This includes updating the Project Execution Plan and Project Procedures, developing, reviewing, and approving user requirements, and overseeing the review and approval of construction drawings and specifications. The role also involves managing construction permits, safety programs, and documentation, as well as coordinating the installation schedule for integrated facilities, utilities, and process equipment. In addition to these responsibilities, the Industrial Engineer will be tasked with ensuring construction quality through the preparation of quality documents, red line documentation, change control documents, and construction turnover packages. The role requires a strong focus on Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) management, quality management, and mechanical completion and turnover. The Industrial Engineer will also assist with pre-commissioning and commissioning activities, documentation, and handover processes, while managing project schedule milestones and coordinating with the design office for field queries and inspection visits.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering or related field
  • 5+ years of experience in Medical Products Finished Goods Warehouse Construction Management or related experience
  • Experience with warehouse processes automation technologies
  • Proven track record of managing construction projects from inception to completion
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and interpersonal skills
  • Knowledge of construction safety regulations and procedures
  • Ability to read and interpret construction plans and specifications
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills
  • Proficiency in project management software and Microsoft Office applications
