Construction Manager I (Solar Civil)

About the position

The Construction Manager I (Solar Civil) at MasTec Inc. is responsible for directing, planning, and managing construction activities to ensure project completion within the assigned schedule and budget while adhering to company safety and procedural policies. This role involves overseeing construction activities, managing teams, and maintaining client relationships, particularly in renewable energy projects across the United States.

Responsibilities

• Promote and comply with all Company and safety policies and procedures
• Oversee all construction activities specific to assigned discipline on assigned projects
• Construct the project and work with the management team to maximize project profit
• Monitor and oversee construction activities and personnel within delivery timelines
• Keep Construction Manager II/III informed of overall construction activity progress and performance
• Cooperate with health and safety matters, following safe working procedures
• Act as a role model for the company's vision and values
• Promote equality in the workplace and adopt appropriate behavior when interacting with colleagues
• Build, supervise, and lead teams
• Communicate effectively with crew leads on goals and expectations
• Manage Foremen to ensure a safe work environment
• Monitor contract performance against project milestones and budget
• Care for and sustain business relationships with multiple clients
• Ensure all work is done to company safety and quality standards
• Complete personnel administrative tasks in a timely manner
• Support Business Development, Estimating, and Preconstruction efforts as needed

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field preferred
• Three years of construction industry experience
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite including Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
• Ability to read, analyze, and interpret blueprints and technical documents
• Strong communication skills to present information and respond to questions
• Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts and percentages
