About the position

Gannett Fleming is seeking a Construction Manager for their Houston office to provide construction management services for various projects, including water and wastewater facilities, dams, transportation, and general building projects. The role involves overseeing project schedules, conducting inspections, and ensuring quality control while working with minimal supervision.

Responsibilities

• Conducts and documents project meetings with clients.
• Prepares and monitors project schedules.
• Performs periodic construction observation and inspection.
• Possesses basic surveying interpretation skills.
• Prepares reports and correspondence.
• Prepares and checks quantities for measurement and payment purposes.
• Prepares construction payment applications.
• Negotiates and prepares construction change orders.
• Reviews submittals and other technical data.
• Proficient with construction management software for document management and scheduling.
• Performs constructability reviews and value engineering studies.
• Assists with Risk Management assessments.
• Prepares and monitors Quality Control and Assurance Plans.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or Construction Management preferred.
• Professional Engineer (PE) preferred after 5 years of experience.
• 3-5 years' experience preferably with large diameter waterline and treated water pump stations.
• Experience with Primavera P6 preferred.
• 10-hour OSHA Safety course completion.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook).
• Good oral and written communication skills.
• Must possess a driver's license.
