About the position

The Construction Manager will oversee and manage construction projects from inception to completion, ensuring that all aspects of the project are executed efficiently and effectively. This role involves coordinating with various stakeholders, developing project plans, and ensuring compliance with safety and building regulations. The Construction Manager will also be responsible for supervising construction teams and resolving any issues that arise during the project lifecycle.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee and manage construction projects from start to finish
  • Coordinate and communicate with project stakeholders, including clients, architects, engineers, and subcontractors
  • Develop project plans, schedules, and budgets
  • Ensure compliance with building codes, regulations, and safety standards
  • Monitor project progress and make adjustments as necessary to ensure timely completion
  • Manage and supervise construction teams, including subcontractors and laborers
  • Review and interpret blueprints, schematics, and other construction documents
  • Conduct regular site visits to inspect work quality and progress
  • Resolve any issues or conflicts that may arise during construction
  • Work on/support proposal efforts

Requirements

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in construction management or a related field
  • Strong knowledge of construction processes, techniques, and materials
  • Proficiency in project management software such as ProCore or Prolog
  • Familiarity with construction industry software such as Civil 3D or Primavera
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints and construction documents
  • Strong organizational and time management skills

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience with federal contracts/construction projects preferred, but not required
