About the position

The Construction Materials Project Manager at Terracon is responsible for managing all aspects of materials engineering projects, ensuring they are completed safely, on time, and within budget. This role involves resource management, project scheduling, and communication with clients and stakeholders to meet project goals. The successful candidate will lead project teams, resolve operational issues, and ensure compliance with safety standards while promoting continuous quality improvement.

Responsibilities

• Manage all aspects of various sized projects
• Work with clients to define project scope, schedule, and budget
• Lead interactions with clients and stakeholders
• Design, communicate, and implement project plans
• Lead safety efforts and ensure compliance with safety plans
• Resolve operational problems and minimize delays
• Identify and gather necessary resources for project completion
• Prepare designs, work specifications, schedules, budgets, and forecasts
• Estimate costs, resources, and time required for project completion
• Monitor activities, allocate resources, and assign tasks
• Conduct project meetings and prepare status reports
• Coach and mentor project staff
• Coordinate with accounting for financial management
• Develop understanding of project-related risks
• Promote continuous quality monitoring and improvement

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Environmental Science, or Geology
• Minimum of 5 years' related experience, or 9 years' experience in lieu of a degree
• Valid driver's license with acceptable violation history
• Preferred Certification: Project Management Professional (PMP)
• Preferred Certification: Professional Engineer (PE)
