About the position
The Material Testing Project Representative at The Thrasher Group, Inc. plays a vital role in ensuring the quality and compliance of construction materials used in various projects. This position involves field testing and sampling of materials, interpreting construction plans, and effectively communicating findings through reports. The role requires adaptability to different work locations and may involve periodic travel for project needs.
Responsibilities
- Perform sampling and field testing on construction materials such as concrete, asphalt, aggregate, and soil
- Interpret civil construction plans and specifications
- Adapt to different locations daily for project needs
- Communicate effectively through written reports
- Take certification courses to enhance skills and knowledge
- Manage periodic out of town stays
Requirements
- Material testing experience is highly desirable
- Safety certifications such as OSHA 10, First Aid, and CPR are highly desirable
- American Concrete Institute (ACI) or West Virginia Department of Highways (WVDOH) testing certifications are highly valuable
