About the position

The Construction Office Administrator at RCSI - Renewable Construction Services, Inc. is responsible for supporting the administrative and accounting functions within the company. This role is crucial for ensuring smooth financial operations, including payroll, accounts payable, and accounts receivable, while also providing support to the accounting team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in construction accounting and familiarity with relevant programs and regulations.

Responsibilities

  • Enter and process payroll accurately and timely.
  • Manage accounts payable transactions and document flow.
  • Handle accounts receivable statement reconciliation and billing processes.
  • Assist clients or vendors with inquiries via phone.
  • Ensure accuracy in data entry within the Purchase Order system.
  • Conduct quality control on General Ledger and financial statements during monthly close.
  • Complete job cost data for monthly Work-in-Progress schedules.
  • Assist in developing a system to preserve lien rights.
  • Support the accounting team with recurring tasks and functions.
  • Learn and utilize Foundation software for report generation.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 4+ years in accounting, preferably in a construction setting.
  • Experience with Prevailing Wage requirements and the ABC Apprenticeship Program.
  • Familiarity with accounting software, with experience in Foundation being a plus.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel.
  • Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Professional communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with various departments.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience with Foundation accounting software.
  • Knowledge of renewable energy construction practices.
