About The Position

Atmos Energy has an opening for a Construction Operator in its Metairie location. This is an entry level position responsible for basic construction and maintenance activities of a natural gas utility system. The role may involve operating heavy and/or specialized equipment and tools. Candidates must apply before Wednesday, January 8, 2025, at atmosenergy.com. As a Safety-Sensitive position, pre and post-employment screenings, including drug testing and motor vehicle record background checks, are required.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Valid driver's license in accordance with Company standards.
• Ability to work in an outdoor environment.
• Ability to lift up to 88 lbs.

Nice To Haves

• Natural Gas Utility Construction experience.
• CDL Class A.

Responsibilities

• Performs basic, routine work using clearly prescribed procedures.
• Assists in the installation and maintenance of natural gas lines, meters and regulators.
• May assist in conducting leakage surveys.
• Completes and maintains accurate records and reports to comply with Company and regulatory requirements.
• May be required to hold stand-by duty, work shifts, holidays, weekends, emergency call outs, and occasional extended hours.
• Identifies, addresses, and reports safety and encroachment issues to their resolution and completion.
• Is responsible for the safe operation and inspection of assigned Company vehicles and equipment.
• Demonstrates support for and adheres to the Company's values, strategies, policies and procedures.
