About the position
The Construction Operator 1 position at Atmos Energy involves performing basic and routine work related to the installation and maintenance of natural gas lines, meters, and regulators. The role requires adherence to safety protocols and company values while working both independently and as part of a team. The operator will also be responsible for maintaining accurate records and reports to comply with company and regulatory requirements.
Responsibilities
- Performs basic, routine work using clearly prescribed procedures.
- Assists in the installation and maintenance of natural gas lines, meters, and regulators.
- May assist in conducting leakage surveys.
- Completes and maintains accurate records and reports to comply with Company and regulatory requirements.
- Identifies, addresses, and reports safety and encroachment issues to their resolution and completion.
- Responsible for the safe operation and inspection of assigned Company vehicles and equipment.
- Demonstrates support for and adheres to the Company's values, strategies, policies and procedures.
Requirements
- Requires a high school diploma or General Equivalency Diploma (GED).
- Requires a valid driver's license in accordance with Company standards.
- Ability to utilize the Company's internet/intranet web site for data entry and retrieval tasks.
- Requires the ability to communicate with internal/external customers.
