About the position

The Construction Planner I at TrueNet Communications is responsible for supporting the administration of small and short-duration telecommunication projects. This role requires effective communication with internal and external customers, coordination of project activities, and management of documentation processes. The ideal candidate should possess a background in telecommunications and construction, with strong organizational and communication skills, and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team.

Responsibilities

  • Partner with internal and external customers to communicate project tasks and schedules.
  • Coordinate activities with other employees to ensure compliance with policies and completion dates for assigned HFC projects.
  • Perform field engineering of proposed projects to ensure cost-effective design for construction.
  • Manage the document control process and maintain constant communication with customers and team members.
  • Organize and maintain data in clear, accurate formats.
  • Ensure project files are properly maintained and uploaded in the customer database.
  • Coordinate with customer contractors or 3rd party vendors to track jobs from start to finish, review/approve invoices, and balance POs as required.
  • Conduct research and review zoning ordinances related to telecommunication facilities.
  • Assist with the preparation of zoning/permit analyses and applications according to jurisdictional requirements.
  • Escalate project-related issues that may impact completion or customer satisfaction.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • 1 - 2 years' experience in Hybrid Fiber Coaxial and Construction.
  • Strong organizational, oral, and written communication skills.
  • Ability to handle multiple priorities with attention to detail in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proficiency with Windows operating systems and Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Word).
  • Understanding of the fundamentals of communications construction.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Must pass a drug screen and criminal background check.
