About the position

The Construction Project Controls Engineer will be responsible for managing the operations of the New US Embassy Compound project in Podgorica, Montenegro. This role involves overseeing project costs and schedules, drafting project controls reports, and ensuring compliance with project specifications. The position requires a US Government Secret or Top Secret Security Clearance and is expected to last between 30 to 36 months, with a minimum commitment of 12 months.

Responsibilities

  • Manage operations of the NEC project office related to cost and schedule.
  • Perform project controls report drafting and production using MS Office Suite.
  • Conduct cost management and schedule management using Primavera.
  • Manage change orders and submittals effectively.
  • Prepare reports and Independent Government Estimates (IGEs).
  • Maintain a daily construction log.
  • Review construction contractor's monthly application for payment and advise the NEC Project Director of findings.

Requirements

  • US Government Secret Clearance or higher.
  • US Bachelor's degree in Civil, Electrical, Mechanical Engineering, Engineering Management, Construction Management, Construction Engineering, or Architectural Engineering.
  • Some experience with Primavera (not required to be an expert).
  • Current US PE license can substitute for degree.
  • 7 years of construction experience.
  • ABET accredited international degree accepted in lieu of US Bachelor's or US PE.
