About the position

The Construction Project Coordinator at Ochsner Health is responsible for partnering with system-level leadership in Facilities and Maintenance to implement and manage strategic projects. This role involves planning, coordinating, and assisting with administrative and financial activities for the department's Vice President, ensuring that projects stay on track and meet deadlines. The coordinator serves as the primary contact for internal customers, managing schedules, tasks, communications, and budgets effectively.

Responsibilities

  • Support projects with effective schedule and task management.
  • Communicate effectively about projects to team members and stakeholders in a timely and clear fashion.
  • Manage the insurance claims process for the system.
  • Assemble budgets, track purchase orders, and monitor the progression of project costs.

Requirements

  • High School diploma or equivalent required.
  • 5 years of administrative experience required.
  • Proficient with Windows-style applications and various software packages specific to the role.
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to build relationships at all organizational levels.
  • Ability to handle complex situations and multiple responsibilities simultaneously.
  • Excellent time management and project coordination skills with strong attention to detail.
  • Ability to work self-directed with little or no supervision.
  • Ability to prioritize, organize, and coordinate multiple work assignments in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to travel between System Campuses.
