The Construction Project Coordinator will play a crucial role in the successful execution of construction projects. This position involves coordinating construction activities with various stakeholders, providing direct support to the Project Manager, and ensuring effective communication throughout the project lifecycle. The coordinator will be responsible for disseminating progress reports to stakeholders, managing project budgets and resources, and utilizing construction management software for project tracking. Additionally, the role includes coordinating on-site visits, maintaining submittal, change order, and RFI logs, and reviewing applications for payments. This position requires a proactive approach and the ability to work independently while managing multiple responsibilities. The ideal candidate will possess strong project management skills, excellent communication and interpersonal abilities, and the capacity to work well under pressure while meeting deadlines. Organizational and time management skills are essential, as the coordinator will need to juggle various tasks and ensure that all project components are aligned and progressing as planned.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate construction activities with stakeholders.
  • Provide direct support to the Project Manager.
  • Disseminate progress reports to project stakeholders.
  • Provide support in terms of the project budget and resources effectively.
  • Utilize construction management software for project tracking.
  • Coordinate on-site visits with visitors.
  • Assist in reviewing, processing and maintaining submittal, change order and RFI logs.
  • Review application of payments.
  • Create and maintain submittal logs.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Construction Management or related field preferred.
  • A minimum of 5 years of professional experience in construction.
  • Demonstrate project management skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work well under pressure and meet deadlines efficiently.
  • Must demonstrate initiative and be able to work independently in areas of responsibility.
  • Must have excellent organizational and time management skills.
