About the position

The Construction Project Coordinator at Western Sand & Gravel Company is responsible for planning, organizing, and coordinating various permit processes while ensuring compliance with safety policies and Mine Safety and Health Administration (MSHA) standards. This role requires on-call availability for emergency situations and involves collaboration with contractors, engineers, and various departments to ensure regulatory compliance and effective project execution.

Responsibilities

  • Plan, organize, and coordinate various permit processes.
  • Assist with safety policies and plans, ensuring compliance with MSHA standards.
  • Conduct internal safety audits and monitor facilities for compliance.
  • Work with MSHA inspectors during inspections and audits.
  • Assist in accident investigation and reporting.
  • Coordinate required permits and develop schedules for applications.
  • Collaborate with contractors and engineers on designs and submittals.
  • Perform administrative tasks such as documentation management and reporting.
  • Travel to company work sites to perform duties.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in construction management/engineering or related field.
  • 2 years of previous experience in construction, skilled trades, or maintenance.
  • Valid Driver's License.
  • Working knowledge of construction and building equipment.
  • Knowledge of materials, methods, and tools involved in construction.
