About the position

The Construction Project Coordinator will support the construction department by assisting Senior Project Managers in planning, overseeing, and documenting construction activities across various projects. This role involves coordination of pre-construction activities, onsite management, and project close-out, ensuring that all construction processes adhere to established policies and procedures.

Responsibilities

  • Assists with planning, monitoring, and managing all aspects of multiple construction projects.
  • Tracks contractor and project completion according to project plans.
  • Supports project planning, resourcing, progress reporting, and troubleshooting.
  • Monitors project and contractor performance, tracking schedule changes and cost adjustments.
  • Verifies that materials and resources are delivered and installed per approved plans and specifications.
  • Conducts independent analysis of submittals, shop drawings, and project plans.
  • Supports quality assurance and control through field verification and documentation.
  • Provides timely updates and information to Senior Project Managers.
  • Promotes safety by assisting with HSE programs and policies implementation.
  • Maintains positive relationships with clients, contractors, and consultants.
  • Prepares project reports for Senior Project Managers.
  • Resolves project issues and escalates as necessary.
  • Assists with the RFP process and proposal development.
  • Coordinates and tracks RFI, ASI, and IDC processes.
  • Processes contract bonds, insurance, pay applications, and change orders.
  • Reads and comments on construction documents and specifications.
  • Travels to various project sites as required.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering, Engineering, Architecture, or related discipline (preferred).
  • High School Diploma or GED with construction experience (required).
  • 1-3 years of professional experience in construction, development, or engineering (preferred).
  • Self-motivated team player with attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Working knowledge of construction plans and specifications for large-scale developments.
  • Strong time management and organization skills.
  • Proficiency in MS Office applications, particularly Word and Excel.
