About the position

The Construction Project Coordinator at Roers Companies plays a vital role in supporting the General Contracting team to ensure the successful completion of ongoing multifamily construction projects. This position involves a variety of administrative tasks, project documentation, and coordination efforts to maintain project timelines and foster relationships with clients and contractors.

Responsibilities

  • Assist the Roers General Contracting team in the successful completion of all ongoing projects.
  • Provide support for project start-up, job files, records maintenance, and close-out, including extensive use of department-related software.
  • Participate in design and preconstruction meetings to document project status and ongoing tasks for completion.
  • Assist with daily logs of work completed, personnel on-site, material deliveries, delays, etc.
  • Coordinate with the project team on all active items in Procore, assisting in timely completion of submittals, RFIs, contracts, change orders, safety documentation, and close-out documentation.
  • Manage project-related paperwork by ensuring all necessary materials are current, properly filed, and stored.
  • Prepare and review memos, meeting minutes, and emails to direct project correspondences.
  • Establish and maintain good relationships with Owners/Clients and contractors/subcontractors/suppliers involved in the project.
  • Perform general day-to-day office tasks to support the Director and in-office staff.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED.
  • A minimum of 1-2 years in administrative work, preferably in construction-related work.
  • Knowledge of the general construction industry and relationships with trade partners.
  • Experience working on multifamily projects.
  • Understanding of construction specifications and standards.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, One Note, Outlook, PowerPoint, Bluebeam, and Adobe Acrobat.
  • Experience with Microsoft Project is a plus.
  • Experience with Procore is highly desired.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Highly resourceful problem solver and quick learner.
  • Skillful time management and prioritization skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
  • Ability to travel locally.

  • Experience in multifamily construction projects.
  • Familiarity with construction specifications and standards.
