About the position

The Construction Project Engineer or Senior Project Engineer will oversee and manage onsite construction engineering activities for large and medium-sized projects. This role involves planning, developing, and coordinating engineering tasks while ensuring compliance with company and contract requirements. The position offers the opportunity to work in a collaborative environment with a focus on safety, quality, and innovation.

Responsibilities

• Manage project engineering and related personnel functions and activities, including subcontractor planning and administration.
• Ensure project engineering activities comply with company and contract requirements and support the overall construction schedule.
• Provide technical support for construction efforts, including participation in planning and design, interpretation of design, and resolution of design conflicts.
• Develop, implement, and administer project engineering procedures and other work controlling documents.
• Represent the company during A/E, client, and project management meetings.
• Interface with all on-site departments to resolve problems and ensure quality of construction in support of the overall project schedule.
• Act as the key technical person on projects, potentially responsible for one or more small to medium-sized projects.

Requirements

• 4-year engineering degree or equivalent technical training and related experience.
• Minimum of 3 years of similar construction engineering experience.
• Advanced knowledge of construction engineering technology, codes, and standards.
• In-depth understanding of the interdependence and relationship between other functional units.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with demonstrated ability to manage a diverse team.
• Ability to travel as required for job site assignments.
