About the position

The Construction Project Manager for Commercial Interiors is responsible for overseeing the entire project life cycle, from subcontractor negotiations to project closeout. This role involves managing project schedules, material procurement, and ensuring effective communication among all stakeholders, including clients and architects. The Project Manager will also generate budgets, assess risks, and lead teams through various project phases, ensuring that projects are completed on time and within budget.

Responsibilities

• Manage project life cycle including subcontractor negotiations and buyout, project scheduling, material procurement, RFI's, pencil draws, change order management and project close out
• Conduct meetings with clients, architects and other partners to provide project updates
• Engage in team collaboration and communication with the Superintendent to proactively resolve any on-site issues
• Generate detailed and accurate conceptual budgets from space plans, renderings, and scope notes
• Guide jobs and job teams in each phase including pre-construction, construction, closeout, and post-construction services
• Identify and focus on critical issues related to constructability including associated costs and logistical issues
• Lead and manage multiple and/or larger, more complex projects with limited PX involvement

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree (strongly preferred but not required)
• Minimum 2 years of commercial construction experience, preferably interiors
• Goal-oriented with the ability to react quickly to changing circumstances
• Calm and professional demeanor, even in high-pressure situations
• Strong understanding of project cost analysis
• Experience with project management software is a plus (Procore, On-Screen Takeoff, Timberline, Salesforce, Microsoft Project)
