About the position
The Construction Project Manager III will oversee and manage all aspects of electrical construction projects from inception to completion. This role requires a strong background in managing electrical projects, particularly on federal installations, ensuring projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest standards of quality and safety.
Responsibilities
- Supervise and coordinate all on-site activities related to electrical construction.
- Ensure compliance with project plans, specifications, codes, and safety standards.
- Manage project schedules and ensure timely completion of milestones.
- Oversee the installation of electrical systems including wiring, lighting, power distribution, fire alarms, and security systems.
- Conduct regular site inspections to monitor progress and quality of work.
- Resolve any issues or conflicts that arise during the construction process.
- Collaborate with project managers, engineers, architects, subcontractors, and other stakeholders.
- Maintain accurate records of daily activities including labor hours worked by crew members.
- Ensure proper use of materials/tools/equipment while minimizing waste/costs associated with them.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Minimum 5 years' experience as an Electrical Superintendent or similar role within the construction industry.
- Extensive knowledge about National Electrical Code (NEC) and local building codes/regulations pertaining to electricity-related installations.
