About the position

The Project Manager at Native American Services Corporation (NASCO) is responsible for planning, directing, and coordinating construction projects to ensure they meet specified goals within the designated time frame and budget. This role involves overseeing project proposals, managing subcontractors, and ensuring compliance with safety and quality standards throughout the project lifecycle.

Responsibilities

  • Review project proposals, blueprints, specifications, and other documentation to determine time frame, funding requirements, and procedures for accomplishing projects.
  • Prepare detailed scope of work and cost estimates for materials, labor, and equipment required to fulfill contract provisions.
  • Consult with clients, vendors, and subcontractors to discuss estimates and resolve issues, negotiating proposals as necessary.
  • Prepare pre-construction subcontractor bid packages, conduct job walks, obtain and evaluate bids, and prepare award documentation.
  • Establish work plans for each project phase and manage subcontracting for specialized craft work.
  • Inspect work sites for compliance with contract terms and specifications, directing project personnel and subcontractors to ensure timely progress.
  • Provide current project status updates to the Senior Project Manager and ensure proper documentation for project billings.
  • Ensure compliance with Corporate Health and Safety and Quality Control programs, coordinating with regulatory agencies as needed.
  • Compile and submit project close-out documentation for client acceptance.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in a construction-related field or equivalent experience (5-7 years) in construction management.
  • Basic computer skills and knowledge of software applications such as CostWorks, E-4Clicks, RSMeans, Microsoft Word, Project, and Excel.
  • Experience with JOC/SABER/IDIQ/Task orders is highly desired, along with 2-3 years of direct construction estimating experience.
  • OSHA 10 and 30 hour certifications and familiarity with EM-385 1-1 are preferred.
  • Ability to read and interpret safety rules, blueprints, and procedure manuals, and to write routine reports.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience in leading estimating functions within construction projects.
  • Strong negotiation skills and ability to resolve conflicts with subcontractors and clients.
