About the position

Martinez Steel is seeking a skilled and driven Construction Project Manager to oversee complex construction projects from initial planning to successful completion. This role focuses on delivering top-tier construction solutions with an emphasis on collaboration, innovation, and quality, ensuring projects are completed on time and within budget.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee all project phases, from initial planning and budgeting to successful completion.
  • Analyze project proposals, interpret blueprints and specifications, and determine project timelines, costs, and procedures.
  • Monitor project progress, address any roadblocks, and resolve operational issues to maintain schedule and budget adherence.
  • Manage contracts, identify and mitigate potential risks, and handle change orders effectively.
  • Seek opportunities for value engineering and process improvements to optimize project outcomes.
  • Prepare detailed reports for management and clients, clearly communicating progress, budget status, and potential challenges.
  • Develop and implement a comprehensive Quality Assurance/Quality Control (QA/QC) plan.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience in construction project management, with a strong background in rebar, concrete, and general contracting.
  • Ability to interpret and manage contract documents, drawings, and construction specifications.
  • Proven ability to manage project budgets and finances.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with a knack for collaboration and negotiation.
  • Highly organized and detail-oriented, with strong problem-solving skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint).

Nice-to-haves

  • Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Business Administration, or a related field.
