About the position

The Construction Project Manager will oversee and coordinate construction projects within the insurance restoration industry, ensuring quality workmanship, customer satisfaction, and adherence to safety standards. This role requires familiarity with Xactimate for estimating and managing project budgets, as well as effective communication with homeowners, property managers, and subcontractors.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate project planning and implementation, including assessing costs and project requirements.
  • Review contracts, correspondence, and proposed scope of work.
  • Participate in project budget planning and development.
  • Establish project work plans and schedules; monitor and evaluate progress.
  • Manage the work of field staff and coordinate subcontractors.
  • Attend meetings and maintain internal and external contacts as necessary.
  • Ensure schedules are maintained and met.
  • Monitor budgets and costs to ensure they are being met.
  • Take necessary actions to minimize expenses and maximize profits while maintaining quality and customer service.
  • Understand contractor documentation, subcontractor agreements, blueprints, and Xactimate estimates.
  • Create estimates through Xactimate, create change orders, and ensure they are within budget.
  • Multitask and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Schedule projects with clients, subcontractors, and field technicians.
  • Resolve issues from customers, field construction, and materials management.
  • Review and submit invoices for payment and collection.
  • Facilitate customer expectations by developing communication lines between all parties involved.
  • Maintain and update Daily Project Reports documenting project progress and problem areas.
  • Maintain a high level of customer service through positive relations with customers, staff, and subcontractors.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 5 years' experience in construction.
  • Minimum of 3 years' experience in Xactimate, able to create supplements and change orders.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, MS Projects, and Outlook.
  • Effective organizational and time management skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Accurate and detail-oriented.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to interact positively with others.
  • Must have a clean background and pass a drug test.
  • Valid Driver's license.

Nice-to-haves

  • Familiarity with local subcontractors is a plus.
