About the position

As a Construction Project Manager at Resource International Inc., you will play a crucial role in managing various transportation and building projects across the Midwest. This position focuses on Construction Materials Testing (CMET) and Special Inspections, requiring extensive knowledge and experience in project management within the construction sector. You will be responsible for overseeing project activities, ensuring quality control, and maintaining positive relationships with clients and contractors.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as project manager, directly managing all activities associated with a given project.
  • Research and provide solutions to construction and design challenges.
  • Attend pre-construction meetings and progress meetings.
  • Review, document, and distribute submittals and RFIs.
  • Be familiar with various project management platforms including Procore, Viewpoint, Sharepoint, Primavera, etc.
  • Review RFPs/RFQs and develop budget estimates and/or statements of qualifications.
  • Assist with contract procurement and carryout.
  • Foster and maintain positive working relationships with clients and contractors.
  • Implement and maintain quality focused performance and responsiveness to encourage repeat business and client satisfaction.
  • Track and analyze project progress and budgets. Forecast and communicate budget concerns to the client.
  • Coordinate with on-site inspection.
  • Review, edit, and distribute field and laboratory inspection/data reports.
  • Resolve technical field problems and engage in review of field construction activities.
  • Track project reporting to accommodate project turnover at closeout.
  • Finalize statement of special inspections as required.
  • Follow established Quality Control procedures per Rii's ISO 9001:2015.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 5 years of related field experience for CMET and Special Inspections.
  • B.S. in Civil Engineering, Construction Engineering Technology, or Construction Management preferred.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite / G Suite / Google Workspace.
  • Strong communication skills, attentiveness to detail, and multi-tasking ability.
  • Willingness to learn new skills and interface with multiple project teams.
