About the position
We are seeking a skilled and motivated Construction Project Manager to oversee construction projects from inception to completion. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in construction management, with expertise in project scheduling, estimating, and contract management. This role requires excellent organizational skills and the ability to communicate effectively with the owner, ensuring that projects are completed on time, within scope, and to the highest quality standards.
Responsibilities
- Manage all phases of construction projects, ensuring adherence to timelines and budgets.
- Develop and maintain project schedules using construction management software.
- Coordinate with architects, engineers, subcontractors, and clients to ensure project specifications are met.
- Prepare and review contracts, ensuring compliance with legal requirements.
- Conduct site visits to monitor progress and address any issues that arise.
- Prepare schematics and documentation for project planning and execution.
- Implement safety protocols on the construction site to ensure a safe working environment.
- Facilitate regular meetings with project teams to discuss progress, challenges, and solutions.
Requirements
- Proven experience in construction management or a related field is essential.
- Proficiency in construction management software is required; experience with Sage software a plus.
- Strong understanding of project scheduling techniques and tools.
- Familiarity with construction estimating practices and methodologies.
- Experience managing contracts and working directly with clients and subcontractors.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings.
- Excellent leadership skills with a focus on team collaboration and communication.
