About the position

The Construction Project Manager will lead the construction management division of a hospitality management and development firm, overseeing multiple hotel construction projects. This role involves managing day-to-day operations, including planning, budgeting, scheduling, and quality control for new hotel developments and renovations. The ideal candidate will create infrastructure for current and future projects while ensuring high-level service and asset management.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee day-to-day operations of all construction-related activities.
  • Manage project schedules and budgets by working directly with contractors and subcontractors.
  • Develop scope of work documents and budgets for projects.
  • Attend construction-related meetings on behalf of the Owner.
  • Solicit pricing from local vendors, subcontractors, and suppliers for various projects.
  • Create and maintain a database of construction-related information.
  • Serve as lead project manager for select in-house projects.
  • Order materials, track shipments, and manage invoicing.
  • Create and review contracts for contractors and subcontractors.

Requirements

  • 10 years of experience in construction management.
  • High School Diploma or GED required; college education preferred.
  • Proficiency in construction management software, particularly ProCore.
  • Strong communication skills.

Nice-to-haves

  • Hotel construction experience preferred.
