About the position

As a Construction Project Manager at Jacobs, you will lead a multidiscipline team to ensure the successful execution of construction projects within established schedules and budgets. This role involves engaging with clients, architects, and contractors to drive performance and efficiency throughout all project stages, from strategy and planning to construction and handover. You will be responsible for overseeing project progress, quality control, and documentation, while also contributing to business development efforts.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee and monitor the contractual performance of the Contractors/Design Builders assigned to projects.
  • Supervise the activities of assigned Project Engineers and Inspectors/Construction Coordinators.
  • Provide construction project management, technical and administrative oversight of the assigned construction projects.
  • Monitor and assess construction progress measurement/evaluation.
  • Oversee project schedules and cost control during construction.
  • Monitor construction quality and recommend appropriate corrective actions for observed non-conformance.
  • Maintain accurate and timely documentation of project status and key activities through daily reports and job site photos.
  • Review and make appropriate recommendations on construction change proposals.
  • Review Contractor/Design Builder Submittals, RFIs, Inspection Reports, and Schedule submissions for conformance with contract requirements.
  • Review contractor/design builder schedules of values for monthly invoicing.
  • Prepare/provide input for daily, weekly, and monthly status reports.
  • Participate in monthly project reviews with clients.
  • Attend and participate in regular owner/architect/contractor (OAC) meetings.
  • Provide input and analysis as needed to support client claims management.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Architecture, Engineering, or Construction Management.
  • 20+ years of construction experience.
  • Familiarity with numerous project delivery methods, focusing on Progressive Design Build.
  • Experience working with a broad range of project types and sizes with diverse private and public sector clients.
  • Strong technical capability in all project phases, including design, planning, construction, operations, and maintenance of large and mega programs/projects.
  • Experience managing subconsultants in support of program and project delivery.
  • Demonstrated experience in managing large, collaborative, multi-party teams.
  • Broad technical experience with the ability to see the full picture of projects and portfolios.
  • Demonstrated ability to organize and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, matrixed environment.
  • Strong focus on quality and ability to maintain good client relationships.

  • Professional Engineer (P.E.) or Registered Architect (R.A.) or Project Management Professional (P.M.P.) Certification or Certified Construction Manager (CCM)
