About the position

As a Construction Project Manager, you will lead various aspects of construction projects, including cost management, planning, scheduling, engineering, and personnel management. This role involves collaborating with design teams, managing project budgets, and ensuring compliance with technical standards throughout project implementation. You will also be responsible for stakeholder management and maintaining effective communication across project activities.

Responsibilities

  • Provide leadership for multiple aspects of construction including costs, planning, scheduling, engineering, estimating support, supervision, and management of personnel.
  • Support design teams with constructability reviews and design implementation support.
  • Coordinate, schedule, and report project activities related to stakeholder management and project communications.
  • Develop preferred vendors and subcontractors for various scopes of work.
  • Collaborate with client's Estimators and Senior Leadership to prepare estimates and bid proposals.
  • Establish and manage the development of project budgets and incorporate them into the client's Cost Accounting system.
  • Review and determine staffing requirements for project teams.
  • Ensure timely buyout, shop drawing approval, and material delivery in conjunction with the client's procurement.
  • Work with Project Scheduler to develop and maintain the project schedule.
  • Coordinate with the client's yard and warehouse for mobilization and demobilization.
  • Develop and maintain good relationships with clients, subcontractors, and vendors.
  • Maintain timely and accurate reporting of cost and schedule to management.
  • Ensure all deliverables and constructed work conform to quality standards outlined in the contract documents.
  • Work with the project team to avoid or mitigate claims and conflict.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering or equivalent.
  • Fifteen or more years of experience in construction, design, finance, and management.
  • Extensive knowledge of construction management techniques and practices.
  • Superior communication and interpersonal skills.

Nice-to-haves

  • Industrial construction experience preferred.
