About the position

The Construction Regional Program Manager at Parsons Corporation is responsible for overseeing the management and direction of a team involved in the Technical Support Services Contract for the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA). This role entails ensuring the successful execution of various engineering and construction projects across the nation, with a focus on meeting client objectives and maintaining high standards of quality and safety. The position requires a blend of technical expertise, project management skills, and the ability to lead a diverse team in a remote work environment, while also being available for occasional travel to meet with clients and monitor projects.

Responsibilities

  • Manages the day-to-day operations of a regional office supporting local customer needs for technical services.
  • Acts as the company representative with clients and subcontractors during program execution.
  • Manages a staff of technical employees including project managers, engineers, and field operations staff.
  • Monitors team performance and adjusts staffing as necessary to ensure optimal results.
  • Develops staff through training and mentorship.
  • Manages incoming work requests from clients, including task analysis and project budgeting.
  • Oversees implementation of project processes in accordance with the Program Management Plan.
  • Promotes technical excellence through Quality Assurance processes and monitors project performance.
  • Reports on project progress to National Program management, including milestones and high-risk projects.
  • Performs other responsibilities as appropriate.

Requirements

  • 15+ years of professional experience in engineering or related field.
  • 4-year degree from an accredited college or university in Engineering or related field.
  • Broad general engineering background and project/program management experience.
  • Experience working on FAA or aviation projects is preferred.
  • Ability to meet customer security requirements, including federal background checks.
